Professional Musical Theatre Program

A new breed of Professional Musical Theatre training in Central Ontario!

Professional Musical Theatre Program

Professional Musical Theatre

Spaulding School of The Arts is embarking on creating a new service for Central Ontario.  Our new Professional Musical Theatre program draws together the best of all of our school divisions into a series of performances will are bound to not only amaze you, but also bring a level of production training that has been never been seen to Central Ontario.  In true award-winning Spaulding fashion, we have teamed up with top producers across the region:
Producers that directly managed, produced and performed in productions such as, Donnie Osmond’s Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jersey Boys, Greece and other world-touring Broadway musicals.
Casting / training and rehearsals are set to begin September of this year and we have now begun the search across all of Central Ontario for all top musicians, drama professionals and up-and-coming artists to receive further world-class training to set a new benchmark standard for our region.

Something Truly Unique:
Unlike just about every other performance group out there, we do not plan to recycle a typical musical or drama production and follow the profile of the standard audition and cutting process associated with Stage Production, but we have opted to facilitate a 100% student written and produced performance that is backed by our world-class trainers.  This will be a 100% home-grown play or musical that will be built from local musicians, producers, drama and even circus talents!  Through this experience we aim to empower the next generations of Andrew Lloyd Webbers and Bachs of the world.
Our journey will be to combine the best of our Drama School, Music School, Literature School, Dance School, Circus and the like in order to truly make a historical experience for everyone.

Ages for this program will be between grade nine and young adult up to about 30 years of age.

Are you an aspiring stage producer, musician, dancer or drama professional?
Would you like to experience training from the world’s elite and well-celebrated stage production talents?
Would you like to write a play and / or musical and experience a new found success with a highly trained cast?

Now is your moment!  We want to hear from you!  We want to know what you would like to produce or what kind of production you would like to be a part of.
We would love to have you on our team not only as a student but possibly a director, arranger, composer and more!

We would love to hear from you now, as we pull together our new teams and begin to set budget for this upcoming year.
